How to Get Ranked on Page 1 of Google - How Hard Can It Be?

In this article and then spend some time looking at how you get ranked on page 1 of Google. I'm going to discuss the reality behind every Internet marketers dream of having their website listed in the top three or four organic listings on Google.
Let's first talk about why it's so important to get on the first page of Google. For all Internet marketers the key is driving traffic to your offers, affiliate links, squeeze pages etc and converting traffic into sales for a profit.
Now we can as affiliate marketers pay for that traffic through pay per click (PPC) schemes offered by all the major search engines however from experience this is at best an educated gamble where if you win you cash in big however if you lose your cash out even bigger. Trust me I have been on both ends of this equation.
So the other alternative is to generate free organic traffic by getting your web presence high in the search engines. Now some will tell you that it's extremely hard to achieve this and unfortunately the number of cases this is correct. Sorry to tell you that but let's be honest some of the hottest and most competitive keywords you will never be able to break on to page 1 of Google.
But do not give up all hope because I'm here to tell you that you can rank on page 1 of Google for the less competitive keyword searches sometimes called long chain keywords. And by targeting your activities at these less competitive keyword searches you're able to harvest the traffic that these generate by ranking on page 1 of Google.
So how do you rank on page 1 of Google? Simple answer is that you need to build back links to your webpages from high-ranking websites. These websites carry weight with Google and when you have relevant links back to your webpages Google rewards you by listing your pages highly in search results.
So how do you get these back links? Well there are two methods that I have found to be extremely effective. The first is to use article marketing to generate high-quality back links from sites such as EzineArticles and ArticlesBase, if you write informative and interesting articles they can be picked up by other Webmasters and posted onto their own sites generating even more back links.
The second method I have used with great effect is creating links using relevant content on web 2.0 blog sites and then linking that content together in a link wheel. This method adds additional weight to the links back to your website by convincing Google that the content on your page is highly relevant and interesting due to the number of links and the network of links feeding back to it.
So in answer to my question how do you get ranked on page 1 of Google? And how hard can it be. Simple answer is you need to build back links, high-quality back links, you websites. To do this manually is very time-consuming however it's not rocket science and can be achieved quite easily. The key is how to save time and the answer to that question is to automate the process.
